I have my eye on a longer story.  Well, actually, remixing a piece of a longer story.  Do remixes have to be completely stand alone or can you refer to the original story as necessary background?  I'm just wondering how much of the set up I need to include in my story.

I'm always curious as to how people write their remixes, and since Remix authors are revealed, I'm interested in finding meta about the stories. (I also wrote meta myself for this year's fics.)

Anybody want to link their meta for this year's remix stories?

One of the things I most enjoy about participating in NaNoWriMo is the tech forum, where people share the tools that they've adopted to get all of those words written, whether their technology is a yellow legal pad and a super smooth pen (I love Jetstreams!) or a netbook or a superphone or the most fabulous story program around ( Read more... )
